Weekend contained by Bath, UK - what to do?

My husband and I are going to Bath for a weekend and wondering if we should stay in Bath or Bristol? What is there to do within Bath at night time? Any good bar for young people? Thanks

I live in the neighbourhood Bristol, and it's definitely the best place to go for darkness life. Baths a beautiful city, but it doesn't enjoy any really good clubs or pubs. Bristols the place to go. People are friendly, right atmosphere and lots to do.
